About us

Young people from Vlasi united for a better future of the Special Nature Reserve "Jerma"
The association, made up of young people, mostly from the village of Vlasi, launched an initiative to improve the quality of life in this area, as well as to fight against the depopulation that is affecting the region. Our mission is simple, but strong - to make the Special Nature Reserve "Jerma" and the surrounding villages better places to live and work. We believe that this natural paradise can be a starting point for development, both in terms of tourism and in terms of environmental protection and cultural heritage preservation.
Our mission
The association's mission is to improve the living conditions of the villagers within the SRP "Jerma", but also to contribute to environmental protection through the efficient use of the resources of this special reserve. The special nature reserve "Jerma" offers enormous potential for development in many areas - from tourism, through organic agriculture, to cross-border cooperation and scientific research. We believe that it is important for local decision-makers to change their view of "Jerma", recognizing it as a whole complex that includes several villages, instead of looking at them individually. In this way, we want to create better conditions for the return of life to these areas that are facing great challenges.

Our focus
The association is engaged in various fields that form the foundation of our activities. Some of the key areas include:
Environmental Protection – Improving conditions for nature conservation in the SRP "Jerma" through more sustainable approaches and initiatives.
Improving Quality of Life – Working to enhance basic living conditions in the villages of this area, from infrastructure to healthcare.
Education – Through education and raising awareness among locals about the importance of environmental conservation, we aim to create a community that understands and actively contributes to preserving its natural surroundings.
Tourism – Developing tourism in the SRP "Jerma" to increase the number of visitors and create new opportunities for local communities.
Cultural and Artistic Events – Organizing events that promote and preserve the cultural heritage of this region.
Agriculture – Supporting the development of organic farming as a means of sustainable living in villages.
Cross-Border Cooperation – Focusing on collaboration with Bulgaria to enhance capacities for preserving natural heritage on a broader scale.
Scientific Research – Collaborating with scientific institutions and researchers to improve understanding of natural phenomena and opportunities for further regional development.
Rural Development – Supporting initiatives that encourage the development of rural areas, as well as the preservation of traditional crafts and customs.
